We're a little more feminine this week, my darlings. A beauty from St. Louie. I think my favorite is the first photo - I adore that jacket and hat!

Who is it?? I'm confused about how to play this game...

Katherine: It's posting photobooth photos. Most of the others have cool personal stories with theirs. Mine have been mostly vintage strangers (with one vintage 1980's of me and my cousins).

How did they get that quality of the photograph? Is it age or the process? It almost looks drawn...

Like a Draw-ring I mean.

You know, I'm with katherine. Is there a place for us newbie bloggers to go to find out about photobooths, memes, and all the other blogger lingo?

lovely strip, love the intensity of each frame. so much style back then, yes? style for days!

jen (previous commentor)-- I don't know if there's a place for newbie bloggers to go to check out challenges and memes but I'll share the info. I have and I hope that will help (teri, hope that's okay with you... don't mean to overstep my bounds here). I started 'photobooth friday' back in january so I could have some way to share all the phootbooth snaps that I have (both personal and found). some have stories, some do not. at any rate, folks started participating (which thrilled me to pieces) and so the thing is to post a photobooth strip or frame on fridays (found or personal). leave me a comment and I'll link you up to list of participators (http://hulaseventy.blogspot.com)... another one to try: selfportraitchallenge.net... which just consists of posting a self portrait each week (usually a monthly theme or challenge)... and there are so many more groups: 'things I love thursday', 'illustration friday' and soooo many more. as for memes, those just kind of circulate in a most random way. sometimes you might be 'tagged' by another blogger you know. sometimes you see one you like and just do it if you feel like it. hope this helps! (sorry teri, for the lengthy comment)...

Bo: I think it's probably both, but mostly the process.

Moo: Thanks for stopping by. SQUISH back!! XXOO

Pen: thanks :)

Jen: See Andrea's comment :)

Andrea: ::sigh:: yes! Your explaination was a lot more helpful than mine probably would have been! (and, YAY, I don't have to type it out. LOL)

wowow the drama in this set! love the makeup and the eyes.
don't you wonder what she was taking these for?

Teri M. said...

Nessie: definitely - the wondering is one reason why I love vintage photos.
