The One In Which I Whine. But Only a Teeny Bit.

I am positive that higher temperatures slow down my thought processi. And the pooky part is that it isn't even August. Gah. So that's my excuse for the lack of posting. The superconductive fluid in my cranial cavity needs cool temperatures to insure that my brain function is what it should be. (And a shout out to anyone who reads Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and gets the reference.) On top of that, I think I inhaled killer mold spores while cleaning (finally!!) out my closet. This has made my froat hurt. ::sniff:: And today, the sneezing. For the love of all that is holy - THE. SNEEZING. ::sob::

As an interesting side note: I Image Googled "fainting" and, seriously, 95% of the pictures were of Tennessee Fainting Goats. Step away from the breeding of freak, mutant fainting goats, people. For all our sakes.

Regarding the fainting goats, all I could think was, do you think the person who wrote the write up could help but laugh while they defined goats that faint?
It would make a really good cartoon, dontcha think?
Regarding you, I'm sorry you are feeling sneezy and moldy. You are interesting and funny even when you are tired and sick and have nothing to write about, I swear. Even if that is all you write about.
Am I going to have to tag you with a meme or something??
That's a threat.
Hope you feel better.

Bo: lol - I actually saw a bit of a documentary on these goats once. There's some filmmaker thinking that this better be worth it! Thank you for your sympathy! ::sniff:: Ack - a meme? I've never been tagged for a meme... you cheeky girl!

H: Hey - you stole that from meeeee!

S: Yeah. What? (sheepish "hee")

MamaP: Major acky. Yay for elephant pools!

Pen: I hadn't, but you know I won't be able to resist. Ahhhh, delicious cool breezes - one of life's little pleasures.

I was researching fainting goats because I was going to buy one for my house in Italy. That was a stupid idea.

Um, I think Hannah is trying to tell you something. I little person tied to a robot, huh?

Fainting goats?! I've never heard of such kinkiness. How do people come up with this stuff?? This is entertainment, really?? Gah!

Teri M. said...

Robyn: Hee! Yeah, they totally wouldn't have matched your ultra cool furniture.

Bo: My kid, she is soooo silly. ;)

Katherine: I know! It's so, so wrong.

Teri M. said...

Hardly, my little chickadee. But it is cute in a freaked out sort of way.

I thought the sacred art by Billy Martin was Hannah's cheeky way of depicting how she felt about being tied to her "robot" mother. I think I read too much into it...

You are NOT a robot Terri, but seriously, I'm going to meme you soon! I just gots to get memed first.

Well, coprolith! You mentioned two of the funniest things ever made... fainting goats and the Discworld Series.
I heart you. :)

Higher temps must slow down the brain...because people here in miami are sooo stupid.

Oh, man...do I know what you mean. My brain feels sauteed, flambayed, and Parkayed (butter).

See, that last sentence is proof that I'm functioning below capacity.

Hi, my name is Spazmo... last night, when I thought you were a stranger from BlogMad?
That wasn't me talking, it was the Tylenol PM. (Yes, still insomniac. As long as it's hot and muggy at night, so will I be an insomniac.)

Teri M. said...

Fin: Don't you wish stupidity had, like, a cure?

Jess: So what's it say about my brain that I giggled at "Parkayed"?

Mel: LOL Eh, I haaaaate trying to sleep in heeeeeat. It makes me sullen.

It really is ridiculously hot and I just vacationed in Vegas which wasn't bad considering but still super hot.

I hope you enjoy your air conditioner. . .

As for the goats, well you made me interested. I'm off to Google it.

What is the purpose of a fainting goat?

I hear you with the mold spores...we're attempting to start refinishing our basement...what a PAIN.

Teri M. said...

Vi: I've only been to Vegas once (for one night) it was still, like, 100 degrees at midnight. I must go when it's not August. (Duh!) I wish I had a/c. Yeah for movie theatres and enclosed malls! What did you think of the goats? Are those not the most useless farm animals?

Jenni: I wish I knew. Useless, useless beasts. Ack - good luck with that.

But they don't have to faint to be cute, babe.
